Day 30 - Santa Monica to AnaheimToday we drove from our 1933 hotel in Santa Monica to Anaheim where we met Jess and Jackie. The drive was tiring thanks to the constant LA traffic.
The three photos above show Watts Towers. An Italian immigrant called Simon Rodia started to construct Watts Towers in 1921 and worked on it for the next 34 years. It is constructed from structural steel, which was then covered with mortar and in some areas tiles were placed in the mortar. The tallest tower is just over 30 metres tall.
